Office and Workspace

The Office
T
HE WHOLE POINT of the conversion is to provide a comfortable working environment anywhere I wanted it. Following is a run-down of the changes made to facilitate that.

Office Space

The rear bedroom is voluminous and makes an ideal office/workspace.
Port Side Closet and Fan
I had custom desk-height shelves made and installed all around the perimeter of the former bedroom. They're supported at the corners by the original night-stands (sans drawers, which you couldn't get into, anyway), and every few feet along
Neat Banker's Light
the wall by vertical uprights secured to the wall.
I laid a nice little pattern with Congoleum wood-grained vinyl where the bed platform used to be, and it provides a rolling surface for the office chair.
Electronics Cabinet
The rear TV was useless - I really wanted the cabinet space for the satellite modem electronics (see next) and the TV was an ancient analogue-tuning junker, so I tossed it - I don't watch TV, anyway.
If you really want a TV, you'll want to get a newer one.
There's an HP inkjet printer mounted on the rear shelf. I've left it in, since it's secured to the shelf, and you might have difficulty mounting another one without drilling more holes. It's probably dried out - a new cartridge should get it printing, again.
A two-drawer file cabinet is under the port-side shelf, topped with a couple of CD cabinets. There's a drawer unit mounted under the rear shelf for pens, paper clips and other supplies. A fan on the closet upright helps stave off the need for AC.
There are two standard AC outlets in each corner at the rear. Holes are provided in the rear shelf to run other power/cables as necessary.
MotoSat Mount

Satellite Internet

A direct internet connection via satellite is possible with Hughes DirecWay service, and a MotoSat Satellite dish.
I have one on my camper, and the idea was to be able to shift
MotoSat (on another MH)
the dish and the modem electronics back and forth between this and the camper as needed.
Never got around to it, but I had the mount installed and the coach mostly wired to do it. If you decide to go with a MotoSat dish and electronics, you're $1000 ahead of the game for the installation.
You will have to get a tech to connect everything up and finish off the wire ends, as well as commission your disk, etc.

Back to Bedroom?

Finally, I have the bed platform parts, and the nightstand caps, if you really want to reconvert the rear to a bedroom.
I don't have the drawers for the nightstands, anymore - you'll have to make new ones, or, a simpler solution - install shelves and doors over the holes.
I also don't have the mattress, anymore. You'll have to get one if that's the direction you want to go.
