Awnings
The coach has a complete suite of awnings over all the windows - a real boon in the summertime (the AC doesn't have to work so hard.)
The awnings themselves are in very good shape - the main awning was
replaced four or five years ago when the original was blown out in high winds.
They are normally deployed by hooking a bent rod into loops on pull-straps and pulling them out. Those loops have been frayed out by sun and are no longer loops - to deploy, now, you have to get up on a step ladder and pull them. To fix would be a simple matter of cutting the strapping and sewing on new loops at the ends.
The main awning had to be coaxed back into roll-up position when I deployed it. I suspect a few roll-outs and roll-ups will smooth it out. If not, there's an adjustment to tighten up the roll-up spring.
Windows
All of the windows are in fine condition (no cracks, seals ok), and close and open properly, although they are a bit sticky from sitting around & there's a lot of dust in the tracks. They need to be worked.
Siding
Basically good condition. The unit has been stored in dry weather, so the lamination is good. If you take it into damp weather, expect delamination issues...
Florida Room
It has one - I've never put it up, so I don't know what condition it is in. Some of the snaps have been bent over and may need replacing.
Roof
Roof is painted sheet aluminum (not a rubber roof.) The paint is flaking off - it would be a good idea to scrape off and repaint it for heat reflection.
Other than that, there have been no issues with it.
Auto-electric Roll-out Stairs
Here's a neat thing. Open the door, and they roll out. Close the door, and they roll back in. Controlled by a switch on the dash. Was going to re-cover them, but ran out of time. Some glue and some outdoor carpet scraps should dress them up, nicely.
Dings
A couple -
- I intersected a low yellow pole on the starboard side, crushing the molding on one of the hatch openings and a snap or two. Small tear near the wheel.
- Ladder is bent from slowly backing into something, unawares.
Miscellaneous
Left windshield was replaced about three years ago.
